Santa Fe Opera In Railyard Park: The Elixir of Love

The Santa Fe Opera will host a free screening of The Elixir of Love in Railyard Park on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at 4:30 PM MDT. Lawn seating opens at 4 PM MDT, and the screening will last about two hours without intermission. The opera will be shown on a 17-foot by 10-foot LED wall, and sound will be broadcast through outdoor speakers. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic. 

The opera is about Nemorino, a mechanic who falls in love with a schoolteacher named Adina, but doesn’t think he’s worthy of her attention. He meets Dr. Dulcamara, a quack who sells him a “magic elixir” that could make his dreams come true.
