Vanna Curated Living – Debra Fritts in conversation with Julia Leonard

We are delighted to begin a new offering at Vanna Curated Living: an intimate Salon Series, where once or twice a month we gather in the early evening for conversation with artists whose work lives among us.

Our first salon will take place Friday, March 20th from 4–6 PM, featuring Abiquiú-based ceramicist Debra Fritts in conversation with local author and interviewer Julia Leonard.

Debra works intuitively with wet clay, hand building each sculpture and firing her pieces multiple times to achieve their layered surfaces. Drawing from oxides, slips, underglazes, and glazes like a painter’s palette, her forms emerge through a process of listening to the earth, daily life, and the quiet stories held within the material.
